D.J. Diebold

 

 

D.J. Diebold was born in Oak Park, Illinois, the home of Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright. The oldest of four boys within five years, attended St. Joseph High School in Westchester, run by the tough-minded Christian Brothers.
 

While attending DuPage College, was drafted into the U. S. Army. As a Personnel Management Specialist during Vietnam, duties included coordination of troop movement and Top Secret clearance related assignments.
 

Subsequent to military duty, attended Northern Illinois University, earning his degree in Sociology.
Employment includes The Illinois Department of Corrections as a Counselor and Social Worker. Duties included Family and Individual Counseling within the correctional system.
 

At the Illinois Youth Center/Joliet, performed clinical counseling in a maximum-security setting to both gang-related youths and their families. Also gave seminars on such topics as Frustration Tolerance, Insight and Judgment, Organic Dysfunction, Behavior Modification and Suicide Ideation.
 

After eight years of clinical responsibilities, started Diebold Brothers Construction, procuring accounts like: The McDonalds Corp, National Chiropractic College, Nabisco, etc. Specialized in problem-solving techniques with a 55-man labor force, in addition to ongoing sales related seminars including: Call Reluctance, Stress Management, Sales Rejection, and Goal Setting.
 

Subsequent to the aforementioned, initiated Diebold Seminars, Ltd. Speaking engagements have traversed the globe and include: Seoul National University (The Republic of Korea), The Honeywell Corporation, The Sun Spree Convention Center and numerous political, civic and educational organizations.
 

As a Behavioral Counselor, Author and Motivational Speaker, Mr. Diebold takes both a business and a spiritual approach to group dynamics. "To perform at the highest level, the two must be seen as interdependent. Clarity, honesty and compassion must be interwoven with solid business technique to achieve both individual and group forms of self-actualization. When this occurs, the results speak for themselves."
 

A prolific writer, Mr. Diebold's recent publication, "Thru Charlotte's Eyes," is both humorous and inspirational.
