Forget Me Not

In
March of 2001, my husband of 55 years died after suffering from
Alzheimer's for ten agonizing years. Never in my fantasy of "
living happily ever after" did I picture myself strolling down the
grocery aisle debating whether my spouse would prefer Depends or
Mickey Mouse on the crotch or just plain Pull-Ups. It's as if
step-by-step the Alzheimer's patient is tiptoeing back to the
childhood.
This book is based on my personal experiences in coping with the three
stages of his dread disease, Illustrated on my personal experiences in
coping with the three stages of his dread disease, illustrated scenes
and reflections from my journal. The only way I can write about
this painful memory is to view it through a lens of laughter whenever
possible instead of a veil of tears.
