Songs of Freedom (PRE-ORDER)

by Nikos Ligidakis

The Morning of that Friday of April 21, 1967 did not dawn with the sun of democracy.  That morning something new happened; another system of mastering appeared.  Another way of thinking had been imposed.

A military coup had taken over Greece.  The civilian government was overthrown; poverty, hunger, economic and social issues had become secondary.  Now, the people had to honor the new masters to make their stay in our homeland comfortable and welcoming.

On that Friday April the life of a nation changed.  This was not any nation; it was the birthplace of democracy, the democracy that now was the victim of rape.  That day, the life of my friends also changed.  They were courageous young men who defied the dictators and stood in front

of them with indomitable spirits and unyielding beliefs.

That day my life changed.  I followed these few heroic men out of the lines of the timid.  It was then that I lived my richest moments.  It was then that I understood that, in man's most heroic hours, fear does not exist.

The Heroes of My Thoughts

Is an esoteric view of the author on the effects of the parent/child relationship. It is about heroes that change our lives and inspire us to be the best that we can be. This is an important book to help construct and strengthen healthy relationships within the family, as well as to understand the problematic behaviors of the young when they have been denied the true love of their parents. Most importantly this book strongly emphasizes that child abuse has no place in our society.

*The Last Mission

During World War II a bomber crew was shot down in enemy territory. The crewmembers made a heroic run for freedom that spanned over 700 miles and 34 days. It was a run that bonded them in life and death.
