Memories of Grace

by Joscelyn Gleave

About the Author: Joscelyn Gleave is sixteen years old and found her passion for writing at a young age. When she was nine, she decided that writing was her future. At age ten, she won the 10-year-old category of the nation wide Olive Garden Pasta Tales writing contest where over7, 500 entries were judged. She also won several smaller, local poetry and short story contests. Her sister and favorite horse inspired her to write this book based on actual events that shaped her personality. Joscelyn lives with her family and beloved dog, Chloe, in Mesa, Arizona, but hopes to travel the world and share her writing and ideas along the way.

About the Book: Grace Finely and her sister Jade always loved horses, but Jade was the lucky one who was given a horse of her own. Despite Grace's jealousy, she visits the File's stables where Jade boards her new horse. Not expecting to enjoy the tour of the barn, she meets Danny, a stallion who mysteriously seems connected with her. Their friendship grows deep as Danny helps her through the ups and downs of life, but her wishes of riding him in the future are destroyed when the Files decide to sell him. About to give hope, Grace discovers that the Files have their own surprises she never anticipated.
