This book is a collection of real life stories about birth and life in the New Age. It is a string of precious beads in which the thread holding them together is woven of my own interpretive abilities and my philosophy. As often as possible, I have quoted the stories as they were written for me by the individuals experiencing the events. Other stories are in my own words, as nearly as I could remember them as they were told to me. The remainder of the tales told are from my own experience in the area of delivering babies into the world and taking care of people and their problems in the course of my practice of medicine. Born and raised in India, the daughter of American medical missionaries, Dr. McGarey raised her six children while maintaining an active medical practice. She blends her knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine to help patients who come to her practice from throughout the world. Dr. McGarey is a founding board member and past president of the American Holistic Medical Association, and is past president of the Arizona Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners. Her work, through the Gladys Taylor McGarey Medical Foundation, helps to expand knowledge and application of healing principles within the medical profession and to the general public.
