Phunny by MiMi Paris |
|||
|
About The Book: Phunny tells the story of
a woman, from her own narrative, who lived a childhood of abuse,
neglect, torture and terror. She tells the horrific story about how
she came to know an unspeakable crime. She tells how, through deep
personal tragedy and pain, she became "phunny." The purpose of the
book is to bring forth the fact that as fosters, we're all part of a
unique group of people that share experiences, feelings and secrets
that no others can touch. We also share a silent, deep understanding
of truths that no one should have to understand.

About the Author: MiMi Paris-an
internationally recognized author, speaker and coach-started life as
an orphan infant, deformed and dumped in a city park. From there, she
spent much of her life in and out of foster care. When she was not in
group homes or other institutions, she was forced to live with
unrelenting abuse from her "father" and "step mother." To this day,
she really hasn't a clue about from whence or from whom she
originated. What she does know, however, is who she has become with
her fortitude, faith, determination and humor. She is greatly adored
by her "real" family-her friends. You may cry. You will laugh. But,
moreover, you will FEEL and be INSPIRED! |
